Nick Barnett Wants To Continue With Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers veteran linebacker was injured in week-4 against Detroit Lions in 2010, he broke his wrist. He was put on injury reserve on 7th October, 2010. It is the second time in last three NFL seasons, which Barnett has ended up on injured reserve. Barnett said that he is completely fit, after he underwent wrist surgery in last October.He added that he is getting ready to play for this NFL season and also started workouts.
"Nick Barnett Green Bay Packers"The 30-year-old Barnett was first drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round pick of the 2003 NFL Draft with 29th overall selection. Packers have drafted him out from the Oregon State University. Barnett missed out most of the games in the 2008 NFL season because he was suffering from a torn knee ligament during 9th November, 2008 game against Minnesota Vikings. In 2010 NFL season, Barnett achieved 24 tackles.
Green Bay packers are not permitted to have contact with linebacker Barnett at this time. Due to the current lockout in the National Football League, NFL teams are not allowed to have contact with players or player's representatives. Barnett was eagerly waiting to play and looking forward for the 2011 NFL Draft. Barnett said that, he can't make clear decision on his draft till the National Football League lockout. He did not talk anything with Packers coach Mike McCarthy or to the other team officials about his draft.
Barnett had signed a six year deal expansion worth $ 35 million on 10th April, 2007. Green Bay Packers have signed new contracts with linebackers A.J. Hawk and Desmond Bishop. Hawk has signed a five year deal worth of $ 33.75 million and Desmond Bishop got four year deal worth of $ 19 million.
In his college career, Barnett registered his single best game against University of California in 2001, he made 18 tackles. He also named as the GMC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.
